Hallo!! Gooseberry Designs is going to be a vendor at Crafty Wonderland, May 1-2. It’s our first Portland Art Market event and we are super excited to meet you. Come by Booth 218 in Hall D at the Oregon Convention Center, this coming weekend.

Happy Spring! Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons. I feel such a sense of renewal and potential in both seasons, like anything is possible.

We took a walk on the Portland waterfront yesterday to see the cherry blossoms 🌸. I’m really new to the area so everything is fresh and new and as I’m exploring our new home there is a lot to learn and discover.

If you know me then you will also know that I have long lists of places I have saved for hikes, walks, nature viewing, road trips, etc. Check back often as I draw my way through my lists over the next few months. Now that we are getting into the warmer months I’m hoping to get out as much as possible and see stuff!

If you have any fun tips or points of interest for me to check out in SW Washington/Portland Metro and beyond, please send them my way!

Next up on our weekend wanderings:
Drive to the coast to do some whale watching and to go see the tulips. Maybe not in that order and depending on weather, work and stuff 😆 I’ll take what I can get 😊

Lightning fast jaunt to the Bay Area to see my peeps, on the heels of a visit from a dear friend to see our new home. Win win 🙌

I haven’t been home since September so I’m drinking it all in. The new blooms on the trees, especially my favorite magnolia tree in my old neighborhood made me happy and sad at the same time. I didn’t think I would get homesick but that big beautiful tree brought back layers of memories 14 years deep…

In the last 24 hours I think I have experienced every emotion possible in rapid succession:
😆😊😢😭🙄😌😘🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️Today I tried to spend time with my almost 22 year old kitty Lucy, who still doesn’t care that I moved away 😢 lol. I helped my kid move into her new apartment in Santa Cruz (sort of jelly not gonna lie) 🙄. Looking forward to catching up with friends and fam over the next couple of days before I head back to the PNW 🥰.
