Spring Hollow Vineyard

Spring Hollow Vineyard Located at 1600 feet above sea level in the Santa Cruz Mountains is planted 1/2 acre of Zinfandel Demple 08 clone on rootstock 101-14, planted in 2007.

Winemaker/grower Scott Salsbury and wife June, are engaged in this exciting project.

2021 harvest was completed today in just under 4 hours. It was a record harvest, nearly 2.8 tons. The fruit looked great. The total crop sold to Hallcrest Vineyards in Felton.

Nets all on. The nets still need to be stretched to the ground in some places. This was so much easier this year.

Installation of the new nets went very well. With 3 people we did it in about 90 minutes.

2020 White Zinfandel is done, bottled, labeled & ready to enjoy. Scott is feeling pretty good about his first attempt at making a rose' type wine. He learned a lot about the process: pressing off early, using bentonite for clarity, cold stabilization, and filtering. We have 10.5 cases to enjoy during 2021. Cheers 🍷
