Summer has arrived and the vineyard is moving quickly through the growing season. With a healthy balance of sunshine and rainfall earlier this year, the vines are currently ahead of schedule – an encouraging sign as we look toward
what may be an earlier harvest this year.
Even with some warmer weather earlier this spring, we’ve now settled into June gloom, allowing the vineyard to hold onto the coastal character that defines this place. Fog still rolls through in the mornings, afternoons are tempered by ocean winds, and the long growing days allow the fruit to develop slowly and evenly across the estate.
This time of year also brings renewed energy to the tasting room. Lively weekends in Los Olivos are in full swing, and we’re looking forward to a season filled with vineyard hikes, local events, and welcoming both familiar and new faces through our doors.
At the w**ery, we’re weeks away from bottling our Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay and
Pinot Noir. It’s exciting to revisit these w**es after months in barrel and see how they’ve evolved since trial blends, giving an early glimpse into the character of Harvest 2025.
In the meantime, we’ve been enjoying the first release from that vintage with our Rosé of Syrah, which has been hitting the spot no matter the weather.
