CCW Classes for 2024 are up! All classes are compliant with SB-2. Initial courses are 16 hours and renewal courses are 8 hours.

Under the new DOJ regulations all instructors teaching the qualification course must be certified by the DOJ or be active/retired police officers that are POST firearm instructors. Thankfully, Central Coast Tactical fulfills both of these requirements!

Make sure you do not use an uncertified / unqualified vendor for your training. If you get into a shooting, where you were trained will be scrutinized in court. Don’t open yourself up to any legal liabilities when it comes to your training!

Central Coast Tactical, LLC is now a certified DOJ CCW Instructor! Out of all the approved instructors in the state, I’m the eighth to be certified!

This was a certification that I did not need, due to being exempted under CCR 4412, but I wanted to obtain it anyway.

The stay on SB2 has been removed! CCW permit holders can now carry in the listed “sensitive places” covered by the injunction.

Just a reminder this is only concerning the sensitive locations. The rest of the law is still in effect as well as the new DOJ regulations requiring trainers to be certified as DOJ CCW Instructors.

Do not use an uncertified or unqualified CCW instructor! This can hurt you in court!

The Office of Administrative Law has approved the DOJ’s emergency CCW regulations. As of right now, all CCW instructors must be certified by the DOJ to teach the PC 26165 course. Thankfully, I am exempted. This leaves only TWO vendors available for all of SLO County, and I’m one of them.

DO NOT USE AN UNCERTIFIED OR UNQUALIFIED CCW TRAINER. THIS CAN HURT YOU IN COURT!

If you are a CCW instructor, I am happy to help you with your BOF-1034 application and conduct the live Fire qualification for you. I will also provide you with important liability protection advice regarding SB2 coursework and the new regulations.
