Casa Rondeña Winery Casa Rondeña is a world class winery established in 1995, and is located in the serene North Valley of Albuquerque. In 2010, Mr. No reservations are necessary.

Casa Rondeña Winery was lovingly established in late 1995 as a family undertaking, with the first plantings in 1990 at the hands of vintner John Calvin. The Tasting Room opened in August 1997 and a winery building, with a commemorative Tricentennial bell tower (picture right), was completed in the autumn of 2004. In 2008, a new barrel aging and storage facility, including the Founder's Rotunda, was built in order to expand production capability of the winery and hold special events for winery members and special guests. Calvin moved out of the home he built on the property and turned it into the 1629 Club. This is our flagship level of membership to the winery, which includes access to the private club among many other benefits. The Tasting Room and winery is open to the public daily from 12 noon until 7 PM.

Hello, October!

The rain has softened the vineyard, the air is turning crisp, and Balloon Fiesta is just around the corner. We are so excited!

There’s something about this time of year at Casa Rondeña ~ balloons in the sky, w**e in the glass, live music in the air, and long evenings spent a little closer to the vines.

And we have a feeling this might be one of our best Octobers yet.

The Philosopher is the newest creation from w**emaker and vintner John Calvin, crafted here in New Mexico! North America’s oldest w**e producing region.

Bold yet elegant, with an Old World character, The Philosopher is inspired by the ancient Greek search for logos: truth, reason, and the underlying cause of all things.

A blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, this is a w**e made for savoring. Perhaps a little contemplating, too.

Don’t forget to join us for our Annual Harvest at Casa Rondeña! 🍇🍷

One of our favorite traditions of the year is almost here! We’ll gather bright and early to harvest the vineyard together, roll up our sleeves, and celebrate the fruits of our hard work.

After the harvest, stick around for a well-earned afternoon of delicious BBQ, Casa Rondeña w**e, live bluegrass music, and great company as we celebrate another beautiful harvest with our community.

Check-in begins at 7:30 AM.
