Saluting National FFA Week!

All FFA Jackets tell a story. What is yours? Do you remember the first time you put it on or your first State or National Convention? What does the jacket mean to you? How has it impacted you? The jacket brings FFA members together, united under one mission.

In honor of Day, we always enjoy sharing this! We have had several employees, from many different chapters, who have represented the Blue Jacket over the years!

Effective April 22, 2022 everybody in Illinois who applies, hauls or comes in contact with NH3 including farmers and their employees must have completed NH3 safety training. It is offered online or in person around the state by the Illinois Department of Agriculture. I have been talking to growers who do apply their own NH3, and offered to take the module online myself so that I can gauge the level of difficulty for them. So today I took a break in the prepay activities to take the course. Total time for getting an Illinois user account, taking the course and taking the wrap-up assessment was under 90 minutes. Pretty straight-forward and good basic information, good refresher course. Don't be leery of getting this required certification completed!
