If you operate your business as a sole proprietor, LLC, S-Corp or Partnership, these are considered “pass through” entities.
What does that mean?
That means the taxes you pay for the income you earn from your business are NOT considered a business deduction and will be counted as a distribution to you if you pay those taxes using business funds. It’s important to have a bookkeeper who will accurately label your taxes paid so you don’t think you’re taxable income is less than what it actually is and then are unprepared for how much tax you may owe for your business.

IEB’s Unite Conference was really great! Loved connecting with all of the members from all over the country! The 80’s theme was a fun night and everyone’s outfits were really something! I was impressed by how many people went all out with their costumes! Wish I had taken more pics of it! In addition to that, I stepped outside my comfort zone and was a guest on a podcast!
