Our humble beginnings go back to 2010, when James Watson, Owner/Operator of Watson Aero, obtained a job as an apprentice aircraft mechanic, building and modifying the popular kit-build line, Van's RV's. James spent several years learning the ins and outs of the aviation maintenance field and was involved with airframe assembly, reciprocating engine tear down/assembly and installation, composite fa

brication, and avionics upgrading, as well as routine maintenance. James later went on to earn his A&P license, finishing top of his class at Baker's School of Aeronautics on the written exams. James holds maintenance certifications from Cirrus Aircraft, Lycoming Engines and Continental Motors, having attended factory maintenance training for all three. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps Reserve, and was a diesel mechanic during his enlistment, maintaining all USMC wheeled vehicles.
