We have another new addition to the Splash team! We recently welcomed Jackson Burton to our data scientist line-up. His experience includes developing a promotion recommendation algorithm for a large chain of grocery stores as well as pricing and promotion analytics.

Jackson earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics & Marketing from the University of Cincinnati. He lives in Ohio and enjoys mountain biking, hiking, live music and watching Formula One.

We’re thrilled to announce another new addition to the Splash team! Meet Amy Chatterjee, data scientist. Her career started as a marketer on behalf of her local university, which is where she discovered her passion for working with data. In 2019, Amy completed her master’s degree from Northwestern University. She particularly enjoys natural language processing (NLP) and has experience with identifying mis/disinformation using this method.

Amy lives in Miami, Fl, and in her free time she gardens extensively and even shares her garden on social networks.

Today we’re welcoming Karim Kardous, our newest addition to the Splash team. He’s a data scientist who has been in analytics for almost a decade. He has a Master's Degree in Political Science from the University of Nevada and several data science related certifications.

Karim loves building analytical tools and thinking creatively to uncover insights and solutions. He lives in New York and enjoys playing soccer, chess and camping. Welcome, Karim!

A group of Splash employees enjoys meeting monthly for Book Club. This month featured Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality, written by Eliezer Yudkowsky (an AI researcher and decision theorist).

Chosen by a teammate who gained inspiration for his data science career from this book, it’s an alternate-universe Harry Potter fan fiction that illustrates scientific methods and rationality. Good read!

The Splash team continues to grow as we welcome Ozan Ozbeker. Ozan comes from a background in manufacturing & supply chain analytics. Prior to Splash, he was in a leadership development program and completed rotations focused on business data analytics & manufacturing engineering. In his previous role, he was able to automate a financial process that reduced processing time by 90% while standardizing output across multiple sites.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from West Virginia University. He was born in Izmir, Turkey and moved to Summersville, West Virginia during his elementary years. His primary skillset lies in data analysis within SQL & Tableau/Power BI, and he’s also skilled in Python & R.

Ozan currently resides in Chicago, IL and enjoys playing the guitar, singing, bodybuilding, cycling and photography.
