What a beautiful room for an evening concert this weekend: Kentucky’s largest residential library, built in 1928. Congratulations again to our client Oxmoor Farm Foundation as their 2021 “Evenings of Note” series continued with jazz pianist and vocalist Champian Fulton (this photo was taken just before she entered). Next up: an evening of gypsy jazz with Swing 39 on November 20. Masks are required and concerts have limited, safely spaced reserved seating.

We joined a group of 40+ enthusiastic hikers on a Saturday morning to check out the plans for 600-acre Origin Park, the new project of our client River Heritage Conservancy. What great views is the mighty Ohio River.

Here's an important project that has finally come to life: Kentucky's first-ever School for Fundraising and Engagement. Our team at Ashley|Rountree has been working on this with our colleagues at the Center for Nonprofit Excellence and the James Graham Brown Foundation since last summer. We launch with a faculty of 21 wonderful folks in April with 13 online/Zoom courses in 75 days, then another run of classes in Fall 2021. (And because we are live/online, anyone anywhere in the US can sign up.) Please share around with your nonprofit friends and volunteers who want some extra training in 2021.

We enjoyed an eye-opening chilly morning hike through some of landscape along the Ohio River that will eventually become Origin Park. One of the fascinating sites from the walk: the mile elevated berm and Silver Creek bridge for the long-abandoned interurban streetcar line from the 1900s, all to be repurposed as a new pedestrian trail in this 600 acre park. What a great new asset for our region. We are proud to be working with River Heritage Conservancy.
