If I were starting over and wanted to learn one work-from-home skill that business owners actually need, I would learn how to set up and test a newsletter sign-up process. I've used this one so many times and in this article I'll teach you how to do it step by step.

That may sound a little specific at first, but stay with me because this skill teaches you so much about how online businesses work. A simple newsletter form is not just a box on a website asking for an email address. You may not know this about me, but I really do love the behind-the-scenes parts of a business.

The emails, the forms, the little paths people follow after they sign up for something, the way someone is welcomed into your world, the little details that help everything flow from one step to the next. Those are the pieces I find myself getting excited about.

I especially love sitting down with spiritual coaches, healers, wellness brands, and other heart-centered business owners and untangling all those moving pieces until everything starts making sense again.

There is something really satisfying about taking the beautiful work someone is already doing and creating systems that take care of people just as thoughtfully as they do.
