Louisville Reading Tutor Tutoring sessions to improve reading skills and confidence My son struggled with reading so I wanted to learn how to help. I believe in the power of literacy.

My name is Nadine Grieshaber and I began volunteering as a reading tutor with my son's first grade class. I was trained to teach a guided reading class and fell in love with it. For the past 12 years, I have worked beside and been mentored by the literacy specialist as well as other teachers. Because I see the difference I make I am still volunteering in the classroom with first grade readers. I l

ove helping children learn to read and want to expand my services to others. Seeing the light in a child's eyes as they are able to read something they never thought they would brings joy to my heart. Over the years, I have worked with all levels of readers as well as other grade levels. I have experience with different personalities, learning styles and strategies, and am able to adapt to individual needs. I use a very positive and fun approach when tutoring and would describe myself as patient and encouraging. Being in the school for so many years has allowed me to develop a large pool of resources to help assist me with my tutoring.
