SURVEY/SONDAGE: Virtual meetings

We have invited over 1500 people to complete the survey. We want to sincerely thank those of you that took precious time to contribute. Initial results show that about 30% of you had over 25 virtual meetings per week in April. Another 7 minutes for this survey may seem significant. We aim to have over 100 responses in total to ensure enhanced validity.

People continue to amaze me. Whenever my belief that humans have an incredible capacity to adapt and push their limits falters, great individuals come to revive my conviction.

Once again today, I completed a series of follow-up sessions with one of our clients. On a yearly basis, I conduct about a hundred of those sessions and while the following statement may sound hyperbolic, I have yet to find myself unimpressed with people when I hang up the phone. We plan those meetings specifically to allow individuals to share with colleagues. Teams discuss their successes and discoveries in the application of various principles learned during our workshops and seminars. It rarely fails; the growth I have the privilege to observe if often stunning. Not that it should surprise us to have participants actually put learning into application, no. What thrills me is the level attained by so many when the intent to adapt behaviors and develop new or improved skills is put at the forefront of their activities.

The range of people’s capacities is truly fascinating. Individuals becoming an inspiration to colleagues on the quality of their strategic questions. Others, on the way to become compelling agents of change. A significant number now engage interlocutors in genuine dialogues. And many more are now better able to conduct well-structured and productive team meetings. I have heard people initially having issues with access to key customers to being called by the same clients to show up more often because of the value they provide.

I find myself compelled to applause each group on their determination to expand their abilities. I am ever more encouraged to inspire clients to transform competency development from a mere event to an adventure during which people catch each other doing something that generates improved outcomes. In doing so, we provide the opportunity for individuals to try something different and share it with those who will understand, challenge, admire, inquire and be inspired.
To the thousands of fine individuals that have dared a different approach and gain the confidence to push forward their development and impact on the business world, thank you.
