When working in such a sensitive environment, it's important to have technology that is secure, efficient, and accessible on your side.

We enjoyed the chance to demonstrate what our AV intelligence can do!

Accessibility is more than a ramp to the courthouse.

That’s what it may have looked like 40 years ago, but today we have the technology to enhance the court experience for people with hearing and physical difficulties beyond just facilitating their physical presence in the courtroom.

🔊 Clear audio makes sure no word is missed.

💬 Captions allow those with limited hearing to follow along.

💻 Hybrid court gives people with physical disabilities the option to appear remotely.

Welcome to AV Trivia!

Before we get to digital, cloud-integrated courtroom systems, we have to start at the beginning. Audio recording is a practice older than you might think.

Inventor Thomas Edison spoke "Mary had a little lamb" into his newly invented tinfoil phonograph in 1877, making it the first audio ever successfully recorded and played back.

Today, audio recording is accomplished with electrical voltage and binary data rather than indenting tinfoil with a needle, but we’re still fascinated looking back at the history of early AV.

There are only five states left that don’t allow cameras in the courtroom to capture the record.

Two of them are considering changing that.

We see this as a manifestation of a desire for transparency in the courts.

A video recording of court procedures enables a full understanding of what transpires, allowing the public to remain confident in the fairness of the justice system.

Even if your state allows for video recording, are you capturing the record as clearly as you could be? Is the level of your video and audio quality high enough to properly document every expression, every word?

If you’re looking to upgrade your courtroom equipment, we can help. It all starts at JAVS.com/contact-us.
