I created a mock scrape and used a in the new clearing I’ve been working on in this area of woods. It took a few days for the deer to use the are but they’re now starting to check the scrape out daily. It’s becoming a communication tool in the new area that will hopefully help to pattern mature buck movement in the fall.

Clearing some bush honeysuckle to create a small food plot in the woods. There’s still some clearing to do but it’s looking a lot better. Next step will be to spray the freshly cut stumps and clear leaves to reach soil. Bush honeysuckle is an invasive that greens up early in the year and stays green late into the year. This make its easy to identify in spring and fall.

Just received a new rope from . Great service and the small batch quality and scent control seems to be on another level from the ropes I’ve gotten from the box stores. I will be getting this placed on a scrape soon and will share the results.
