The Lowell Rural Fire Protection District serves a 23 square mile area that includes the City of Lowell and the rural communities of Fall Creek and Unity. The district boundaries surround Fall Creek Reservoir and includes the northern shoreline of Dexter Reservoir. The district provides structural and wildland fire suppression, EMS first response at the ALS level, vehicle extrication, water rescue

, low to high angle rescue and HazMat first response. District personnel provide fire and EMS safety public education programs for all ages and provide fire and life safety commercial inspection and plans review.

Yesterday crews responded to a 1 acre brush fire off of Zion Way.
Luckily they were able to stop the spread before it threatened any structures.
