As Safety Week comes to a close, it's important to remember the goal is not to catch mistakes in order to discipline, but rather to save lives and mitigate risks. No one should ever feel as though they are scared to report a situation for fear of the repercussions.
At S&R Corporation, safety isn’t just a priority; it’s a responsibility we carry into every phase of every project.
This Safety Week 2026, we’re reinforcing a simple but critical message: Respect the Plan.
Every job starts with a plan designed to protect our people and eliminate risks. Most importantly, to eliminate the “Stuff That Can Kill You” (STCKY) hazards like falls, struck-by incidents, electrical exposure, and heavy equipment movement.
But a plan only works if it’s followed, challenged, and adapted when conditions change.
That means:
✔️ Speaking up during pre-task planning
✔️ Owning Stop Work Authority when something feels off
✔️ Reassessing and replanning when the jobsite shifts
✔️ Never taking shortcuts, no matter the pressure
Real safety culture is built on respect, respect for the work, the process, and most importantly, each other.
At the end of the day, nothing matters more than making sure every member of our team goes home safe.
All in. Together. Recognize. Respond. Respect.
