ARTIST STATEMENT

The earth we walk on, the air we breath, even the plants and animals all touch and interact. Time and space are also interwoven in this thing we call life. It's when you combine these disparate elements, that it all comes together. The development of a photograph is very much like a painting; I use light as the brush to paint my subjects. The use of light can define a subject's f

eelings and character. It is amazing to see how much I can change a subject with a slight rearrangement of the lights in the studio or just using different times of the day to set up a photograph. This enables me as an artist to present different and unique views of the world around us.
