Hope your pigeons are getting enough water. The pigeons drink almost triple amount of water when the temperatures are over 100°F

The Damascene is one of the oldest breed of pigeons dating back thousands of years -- found in ancient Middle Eastern and Egyptian art. Also referred as Mahomets. Originally kept in the Middle East as high-flying breed.

Unfortunately, as with the majority of the world's flying/performing breeds, the European and American breeders later refined this breed into a distinct exhibition and show breed; which caused the breed to lose its flying abilities in the process.

I'm trying to bring back and develop the flying aspect of this breed to restore this breed's authenticity & roots.

Two different tail feathers of Galacian Highfliers.
The one on top is the normal tail feather color.
The second one is a color mutation. Out of dozens of birds of the same breed, I only have this *one bird with this unique tail feathers.

The birds look incredible when they fly with their tail feathers spread out. The mutated color looks out of this world.

*Some people randomly message me asking to acquire my birds, but instead of posting screenshots of those messages and boasting about it, I'll just add a disclaimer that I don't sell any birds. I know folks out there would literally do anything and give anything to be in my shoes, but that's just how it has always been all my life! Meh.

I sold a few to those who would not be able to acquire birds of this quality anywhere else; and that certainly wasn't for the money. Anyone visiting my coops would attest without hesitation that I spend an absurd amount of time & money on pigeons.

Yes. I'm fully self aware of the fact that I'm fc***ng cray cray. 😂

The one on the left is two days older than the one on the right.
It can't even stand up for long because it's so chubby!

2026 Kashani Highflier. This particular breed of pigeon was specifically bred/developed to fly in desert heat.

Out of all the breeds of pigeons I currently raise, this is THE ONLY breed that loves to fly; no matter the weather conditions.

This breed flew in 108° heat for 20-30 mins on its own without any training whatsoever. Other breeds land in just 3-5 mins.
