🚨🚨 Temporary Road Closure 🚨🚨

Tuesday July 7th
Location: George County Industrial Park

Evanston Road at Industrial Park Road (Vulcan Gravel Business Sign) will be temporarily closed Tuesday Morning (July 7) starting at 8 am for an emergency culvert repair. Traffic will be detoured on Tri-state road. County crews and heavy equipment will be working extremely close to the roadway.

Keep in mind that we're going to see heat indices above 100 degrees through the weekend throughout the state. Stay indoors in air conditioning as much as possible and check on elderly or sick neighbors. If you have to work outside, take frequent breaks in the shade and STAY HYDRATED. Remain mindful and do not leave people or pets in vehicles in this heat.

🚨🚨🚨Public Service Announcment 🚨🚨🚨

Hwy 26 W between Gyther Fairley Rd and Randys Dr will be closed as of today 6/19/2026. MDOT crews over the next few weeks will be making repairs to the washed out area. Please use alternate routes to navigate the area. MDOT crews have placed signs and electronic sign boards on Hwy 26 and Hwy 57 announcing the road closure. Williams Tire will still be accessible from the west side of the road closure.

Please exercise caution today. We are seeing heavy rains and thunderstorms moving in from our west. Flash flooding is a risk. If you are in a low-lying area near a body of water, be extra mindful.
