✨ Join Lakeshore Keepers for a special afternoon fundraiser for kids to climb the Big Sable Tower for free all season long in 2027, the lighthouse’s 160th anniversary!

This fundraising event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26. Guests will be bused to/from Big Sable Point Lighthouse for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the historic keepers’ quarters and an opportunity to climb the tower. Back at the Ludington State Park Beach House, enjoy appetizers while bidding in a silent auction.

• Behind-the-Scenes Lighthouse Tour: 2-4 p.m.
• Fundraiser at the Beach House: 3:30–6 p.m.

Join us Saturday , August 29th at 7PM as Lee Murdock takes the stage in the amphitheater.
If it’s raining we will move the show to the Beach House.

Broadly acknowledged as “the premier interpreter of songs and tales about the Great Lakes,” Lee Murdock has uncovered a boundless body of music and stories in his home region. There is an amazing timelessness to this music. Great Lakes songs are made of hard work, hard living, ships that go down and ships that come in. The music is grounded in the work song tradition, from the rugged days of lumberjacks and wooden sailing schooners, Murdock comes alongside with original ballads of contemporary commerce and revelry in the grand folk style.
