The most dangerous thing you can do when your marketing goes silent?
Assume you need a better message.
So you edit again. Refine the hook. Explain your framework more clearly. Publish again. And wait. Crickets.
But here's what makes this pattern so revealing: The same silence often follows you straight into your client sessions.
You see something your client can't yet see. You invite them deeper. They hesitate. Intellectualize. Pull back. Maybe they even say: “I don't understand what you're trying to say. You aren't being clear.”
And suddenly, something is triggered inside you. The coach who was grounded moments ago begins explaining. Giving another example. Trying a little harder to help them see. Perhaps even cushioning the deeper truth you originally saw.
That is the moment most coaches misread. Because what looks like a communication problem may actually be the doorway into Axis #7: The Withheld Messenger.
Your client's hesitation activates the same hidden protection that market silence activates: "What if my depth isn't received?" So you unconsciously enter the loop: Express → Wait → Hear Silence → Question Yourself → Refine → Explain → Publish Again.
I lived inside this loop for more than 16 years. I thought the silence meant I needed better marketing. So I changed the message, softened my depth, and carried far too much responsibility for whether other people received what I could see.
But the void wasn't punishing me. It was revealing me. Those years brought me into relationship with the hidden aspects of myself that still believed my deepest expression needed to be understood in order to be safe.
Your ideal clients don't need you to convince them of your depth. They need you to remain present enough in it that they can recognize themselves.
I unpack the entire 7-step loop in my newest article:
