Dear Residents and Business Owners of Lumberton Township:

For 121 years, the Lumberton Fire Company has proudly served as your neighbors helping neighbors. We are not just firefighters, we are members of this community who live here, work here, and care deeply about keeping Lumberton safe.

As an all-volunteer organization, we provide fire, rescue, and emergency services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In 2025 alone, our volunteer members responded to more than 550 calls for service. Each of those calls represents a neighbor in need—a family, a business, or a friend facing an emergency.

Behind every response are countless hours of training, preparation, and teamwork.
Our members dedicate personal time away from their families and careers to maintain the skills and certifications required to protect our township.
We do this because we believe in giving back to the community that gives so much to us.

While the Township provides partial financial support, we rely on the generosity of our residents and local businesses to cover approximately 35% of our equipment and operating costs. The cost to properly equip one firefighter with protective gear now exceeds $16,000, and ongoing training and maintenance expenses continue to rise.
Your support directly helps ensure we have the tools, equipment, and training needed to respond safely and effectively when you call.

Your contribution is more than a donation—it is an investment in the safety and strength of our community. Because of your continued generosity, we have been able to uphold the high level of service Lumberton has relied on for over a century.

Now more than ever we respectfully ask for your support again this year.
Donations may be tax deductible, and no amount is too small.
Every dollar stays right here in Lumberton and directly supports your volunteer fire department.

Thank you for standing with us and for helping us continue our mission of neighbors serving neighbors.

With sincere appreciation,

The Members of the Lumberton Fire Company No. 1
