Unpopular opinion:
The algorithm probably isn’t your biggest problem.
After years of working with social media, I’ve noticed something.
Most small businesses don’t struggle because of the algorithm.
They struggle because:
Their message isn’t clear.
Their content is inconsistent.
They’re talking about themselves instead of the customer’s problem.
Customers don’t buy because you posted 7 times this week.
They buy because they trust you.
And trust is built through consistency, clarity, and connection.
The businesses that win aren’t always the loudest.

The algorithm isn’t why most businesses struggle.

Most businesses struggle because:

-Their message isn’t clear.
-Their content isn’t consistent.
-They’re talking about themselves instead of their customer’s problem.

The algorithm changes.

Human behavior doesn’t.

People want to feel understood before they buy.

That’s where good marketing starts.

A lot of businesses don’t have a visibility problem.

They have an engagement problem.

You can post every single day, have pretty graphics, use trending audio, and still struggle to turn followers into actual customers if your content never creates connection.

People interact with pages that:
-feel human
-start conversations
-build trust
-make them want to come back

That’s why social media management is more than “just posting.”
