Entrepreneurship can feel incredibly lonely in certain seasons.

There were so many moments building my businesses where I felt misunderstood, isolated, overwhelmed, or like nobody around me fully understood the vision.

But I can honestly tell you…it does get better.

Stay focused on the vision, even when your current environment doesn’t reflect it yet.

This is also one of the reasons our coaching program includes cohort coaching calls and community discussion spaces.

Building something different becomes a lot easier when you’re surrounded by people who understand the path, challenge you to grow, and remind you that you’re not crazy for wanting more out of your life and career. 🤍

New CEU for BCBAs 👇

Using Extinction Responsibly in Binge Eating Disorder (BED)

Extinction is not one-size-fits-all—especially in complex clinical cases like BED.
This training focuses on how to apply behavior-analytic principles ethically, effectively, and with clinical precision.

In this CEU, you’ll learn how to:
• Conduct meaningful functional assessments
• Implement replacement behaviors that meet the same function
• Apply differential reinforcement for sustainable change
• Make informed decisions when extinction is inappropriate or insufficient

We’re excited to welcome Brittnay Duguay, BCBA to the ABASI supervision team 🎉

Brittnay brings 10+ years in ABA and 9 years supervising BCBA candidates, with deep expertise in functional assessment, clinical decision-making, and creating durable behavior change.

She is also the founder of Better Habits by Britt, where she integrates behavior analysis with functional health, nutrition, and fitness. Britt is an IFBB Bikini Pro 🏆, Certified Functional Nutritionist, and coach with over 12 years applying behavioral science to exercise, nutrition, stress regulation, and lifestyle habits.

She’ll be a great fit for students interested in applying ABA in health and wellness spaces, including:

🏋️‍♀️ Fitness & exercise adherence
🥗 Nutrition behavior change
🧠 Functional health & lifestyle habits
💪 Bodybuilding / physique sports
📈 Sustainable habit formation

Brittnay has limited space available due to her own clientele within her business and her calendar will book fast!

We’re so excited to have her helping train the next generation of behavior analysts working beyond traditional ABA settings 🚀

Let’s have a conversation.

Access matters.

Serving Medicaid matters.
Serving underserved communities matters.
Keeping services available matters.

But “access” is not a shield against structural critique.

If a model consistently produces:

• High clinician turnover
• Chronic burnout
• Minimal supervision
• Reactive programming
• Wage suppression

We have to ask a harder question.

Is it still ethical if it depends on depletion?

Equity cannot rely on exhausted providers.

Because when clinicians leave, families lose continuity.
When supervision is stretched thin, quality drops.
When systems are fragile, the most vulnerable clients feel it first.

This isn’t anti-clinic.
It’s anti-unsustainable design.

Funding source does not determine moral superiority.
Structure does.

⬇️ Do you think sustainability should be considered part of ethics in ABA? Why or why not?

Follow if you’re ready to question the model and not just defend it.

Happy Birthday to one of our absolute powerhouses and Co-Owner of ABASI Learning Academy, Alex.

Everyone who knows Alex knows this… she does not play small.

Wife.
Mom of three.
Lifter.
BCBA supervisor.
Curriculum writer.
Instructor.

And she shows up fully in every single role.

She’ll write curriculum after her kids go to bed, wake up early to train, hold high standards for her supervisees, and still prioritize her marriage and family. That kind of balance isn’t accidental. It’s intentional. It’s disciplined. It’s earned.

Inside ABASI, she raises the standard. Her supervision is sharp. Her expectations are high. She believes BCBAs can operate at a higher level and she models exactly what that looks like.

Strong in the gym.
Grounded at home.
Strategic in business.

Alex, you are such a force and we are better because of you.

Happy Birthday to a true BCBA queen. We love you!

Most BCBAs aren’t burned out because they “can’t handle it.”
They’re burned out because they were trained for one revenue model.

Here’s what actually moves you forward:

1. Define a population, not a setting.
“Clinic BCBA” is not a niche.
“Teen athletes with performance anxiety” is.
Clarity drives positioning. Positioning drives demand.

2. Build competency before confidence.
Take targeted coursework. Shadow in your niche. Collect case hours aligned with your future direction.
Confidence follows evidence, not vibes.

3. Price for sustainability, not approval.
If your rate requires you to see 30+ clients to survive, the math is broken.
Run the numbers. Design your model backwards from income goals and capacity.

4. Sell outcomes, not sessions.
No one buys 60 minutes.
They buy decreased anxiety. Improved performance. Emotional regulation.
Your language should reflect that.

5. Create one scalable asset.
Workshop. Small group. Digital tool. CEU.
Stop trading only time for money.

You do not need:
• Another supervisor’s permission
• 10 more certifications
• A viral Instagram account

You need competence, strategy, and ex*****on.

If you’re a BCBA thinking about health, sports, fitness, or performance spaces:
comment “OUTSIDE” and I’ll send you the mentorship inquiry form.

This week I worked with an ACT-trained BCBA building a wellness practice for high-achieving adult women.

Clinically strong.
Ethically grounded.
Chronically underpriced.

$60/hour.
No defined container.
Unlimited emotional access.
No discharge criteria.

We rebuilt the offer into a structured 16-week container. Clear scope. Defined communication policy. Revenue aligned with her $170k goal. Contracted boundaries. Premium positioning.

No new certification.
No rebrand.
Ex*****on.

If you are a BCBA in health, sports, fitness, or wellness and you know your clinical skill has outgrown your pricing and structure, this is the work.

DM me “mentorship” and I will send you the ABASI mentorship application.

Serious clinicians only.

Most supervision checks a box.
Few programs expand your scope.

If you’re pursuing BCBA supervision and already sensing that insurance-based clinic work is not your long-term vision, you need more than hours logged. You need competency built.

Inside our supervision model, we focus on:

• Clinical rigor that meets BACB standards
• ACT integration within performance environments
• Ethical expansion into health, sports, and fitness
• Private-pay service architecture
• Scope clarity and documentation fluency
• Strategic positioning beyond traditional reimbursement systems

The field is shifting. Practitioners who understand both behavioral science and market positioning will lead the next decade of ABA.

If you’re ready for supervision that develops you as a clinician and a strategist, let’s talk.

I’m offering a discounted introductory consultation call for qualified applicants.

Reach out via DM or email to schedule your call and explore whether this model is aligned with your long-term vision.

We’ve been waitlisted for supervision… and this is exactly why we were intentional about who we brought on. 💛✨

Ashley doesn’t just understand our systems…she lives them. She actively works with multiple clients (primarily women in health, fitness, and wellness spaces) and runs her own business. She doesn’t just talk the talk — she walks it every single day. 👏🏼🔥

She completed a full year of supervision within ABASI and a year-long business coaching program, so she deeply understands how we train clinicians to think beyond insurance-based models and into wellness, performance, and habit-change work. She’s also pursuing her Certified Personal Trainer credential to continue expanding her interdisciplinary expertise. 🏋🏼‍♀️📚

She is especially excited to mentor supervisees who want to gain clients in the wellness space and build a career aligned with health, fitness, and lifestyle-based practice. 🌿💼

Her caseload will be intentionally limited. If you’ve been thinking about supervision with us, this is your sign. ✨

Spots will fill quickly.
DM us to secure your place in the next cohort.
