I know that it has been along time since I last updated the Sawdust page, to be truthful, I would rather be in the shop making than sitting here creating a post. I am though creating this post to inform you that we (Sawdust Homemade Creations) have 2 Holiday Fairs coming up in the next few months. Our first fair is this coming Saturday in Luverne, to be held at the Generations Event Center, 105 South Estey Street. There will be 22 vendors, lunch and lots of fun activities for everyone. It will start at 9:00 am and run till 3:00. The weather is supposed to be beautiful, and should be a great day to get out and venture to Luverne.

Out second market is December 6th, in Sioux Falls at Cherapa Place, (300 Cherapa Place, Sioux Falls) in the underground parking level. Sawdust Homemade Creations has again been selected to be a part the annual 605 Holday Market. It is Sawdust’s 9th year chosen, and it is an honor to be part of this amazing organization’s Holiday Market. As always, many creative makers will be there, with original creations for sale. It is a perfect place to shop for the upcoming holiday season. Sawdust will have many of our orginal holiday items for sale, plus some new things that might interest you. I know that somewhere in the martket, something will catch your eye. It is always a fun and amazing day. The market starts. At 10:00 am and will run to 4:00pm. Come early though, items go quickly.

I know that we have a little time before August, but the way this summer is going, the time will sneak up on us all. So with that said, I just wanted you to know that Sawdust Homemade Creations has again been selected as a vendor for the 605 Made Night Market this coming August. It is such a great honor to be selected for this amazing market, but to be truthful, it is just a really fun event. There will be entertainment, food, (maybe a few adult beverages) and so many wonderful and really talented Makers.

Make sure to mark it on your calendars, August 24th, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at the corner of 6th and Phillips in Sioux Falls.

I want to thank all of you who came and supported Sawdust Homemade Creations at the Luverne Buffalo Days Art Expo yesterday (Saturday, June 1st). We had so much fun running into old friends and making new acquaintances. What a lovely day it turned out to be and just a real fun filled day.

Coming up on Saturday, June 1st, Sawdust will be at the Buffalo Days Expo on the Rock County Courthouse Square. This is a part of the annual Buffalo Days Celebration which is held from Thursday, May 30th to Sunday June 2nd. The Expo is only held on Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00. pm. We will have some of our traditional items (lawn and board games), plus some newer items that we showed on our previous post. It's a wonderful day with many vendors of arts, crafts and food. For us, it is a great way to start the summer season. Hope to see you there!

The winter is finally over and we are getting ready for summer and summer shows. Even though we haven't posted here for a while, we have been busy with special commissioned pieces and trying to come up with some new items, as well as, some of our old stand buys.

First we made a W cribbage board, special order for someone in South Dakota. Another project was a painted house quilt that will be in a home in Florida.

We have also made some newly crafted cribbage boards. Ones that you can personsalize, and another that is for players who like their boards a bit more portable. We have them available in our shop, but also you may purchase them in Hartford at the Knotty Gnome Variety & Salvage.

Finally we have not forgotten Yard Games that many of you love so well. We have been working on our new favorite yard game, Mölkky and our original baseball games. Plus, we will be starting to build the Yard Game Kubb and other board games.

We love new ideas, so feel free to contact us if you have something you would like made. We thrive on challenges, so give us a try. Take care, and hope to see you this summer

We at Sawdust Homemade Creations are happy to announce that we been accepted again to be a part of the 605 Made Holiday Market on December 2nd at Cherapa Place in Sioux Falls. It will run from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Many of your favorite makers will be there and it is a perfect time to do some Holiday shopping for unique and beautiful handmade gifts.

Here at Sawdust Homemade Creations we are busy making because we know there are only 2 weeks left before the market. YIKES!!! Hope to see you there!

I know it is getting very close to the scariest day of the year, Halloween, so Sawdust has 2, one of a kind haunted houses for your home decor. They are both at Knotty Gnome Variety & Salvage in Hartford, SD. They are approximately 12"-14" in height and are $40.00 per house.

🎁It’s that time of year again that I am seeking donations for the Christmas Giving event at our local elementary school.

I am seeking donations that can be used as gifts for the children to shop for their adult loved ones. If you are a maker and you would happen to have any discontinued or sale items that you just haven’t been able to get rid of, I am here to take them off your hands! Any number of items will help, I will take 5, 10, or 50!

The donation deadline is November 1st. You can drop off your donations at Knotty Gnome. We are open Wednesday-Friday 12-6:00 and Saturday 10-4:00.

I had this idea after having some piles of misfit items at my store that no one wanted and I was trying to figure out how to donate them to people in our community. I then thought that it would be so awesome if grade school children in our community could go “shopping” for their parents or grandparents for Christmas on their own. I just think about how many families can’t afford gifts & what pride it brings to kids if they can get a gift for their parents to surprise them.

I didn’t want to tackle this idea myself, so I presented it to our local Optimist club in Hartford. They were 100% on board and we are now on our 3rd year of Christmas Giving!

We are happy to announce that Sawdust Homemade Creations will be at this years years 605 Made Night Market on August 26th from 3:00 to 9:00 pm. The market is located in Sioux Falls, SD at 6th and Phillips. (Just south of Levitt at the Falls). This is one of our favorite events in Sioux Falls. There are food trucks, beverages for all ages, and live entertainment. Plus there will be some of the finest Makers in the Sri-State area with items for purchase.

We will be bringing some of our traditional items, plus some new games and fall decor. This is wonderful event, so we hope to see you there.

This Saturday, June. 3rd, Sawdust Homemade Creations will be at the 39th Annual Buffalo Days Celebration in Luverne, Mn. We will have a tent at the Art Expo which is held at the Rock County Court House Square starting at 9:00. am and will run till 4:00 pm. There will be all sorts of vendors from the Tri-State area with a variety of items for sale. There will be a food court too. Should be great fun! We will have our traditional items, from lawn and portable children's games, Super Hero plaques and a few new items too. We hope to see you there!

Sawdust Homemade Creations is very happy to be a part of Tracy's new vision at WildFlowers Coffee Boutique in Luverne. She is providing Drink Flights for her patrons. Our small part was helping design and build the carriers for this new venture and we are proud to be a part of that. So Happy tasting to all of you! We LOVE their coffee!!!
