Class of 2024, it's graduation time, congratulations!!. Grab your cap and gown... and your family, too? Let's make some awesome images! I have some time this weekend. I took Grant and Dec up to Mt. Baker on friday night. Right out of the car, there was aurora above us and at first the boys were a bit underwhelmed. As their eyes and expectations adjusted, they became more intrigued. When they pulled out their phones, to see the colors that were subtle to their eyes, there was wonder. And as the 11:01 pm corona hit, they and the hundreds of other people crowded on the mountain, audibly gasped and a ringing of cheers came. The aurora spilled down in every direction you looked, and the sky was enveloped in awesomeness. It was a pinnacle and glorious moment. Phones and cameras were lowered and all eyes were fixed on the beautiful sight. Core memory achieved.
We spent a lot of time hangin out with the Northern Lights. Some other highlights were seeing the International Space Station pass overhead and also hearing a very significant avalanche come down over on Shuksan. A deep huge crack sound and then a rumble of avalanche that lasted minutes. An epic evening to remember!
