We represent New Jersey’s Latino community, which drives more than $127 billion of the state’s GDP and are part of the $4.4 trillion U.S. Our mission is to promote the continued growth and development of New Jersey businesses. We accomplish our mission by:

- Expanding business opportunities

- Educate and train entrepreneurs and business owners

- Encouraging mutually beneficial ties with the public and private sectors

- Serving as an active and visible advocate in the political process

- Actively promoting trade between the business community of State, National and International counterparts

The Objectives of the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey are:

-To provide technical assistance to small businesses, professional associations, and entrepreneurs via regional meetings, seminars, conferences and annual convention.

-To strengthen and expand the network of Hispanic and professional business associations at the local and state level.

-To identify and communicate the needs of the Hispanic and General business community by increasing relations with the corporate sector.

-To influence legislation, policies and program that have a positive impact on the small business community.

- To continue to provide strong leadership for New Jersey with the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

-To provide leadership and support for excellence in education NOW for future business leaders.

“Health and career opportunity belong in the same conversation.”

On Sept. 24, the SHCCNJ Health & Wellness Fair will bring that conversation to Fairfield through a breakfast panel, health and wellness expo and career fair.

Somerset County Commissioner Sara Sooy; Andrea Martinez-Mejia, executive director of the Greater Newark Health Care Coalition; and David Perez-Herranz, vice president of clinical services at JAG Physical Therapy, will discuss health care workforce development, access to care and the industry’s growing role in New Jersey’s economy.

After the panel, residents can explore wellness resources while students, professionals and job seekers meet employers and learn about internships and open positions.

Small businesses from across New Jersey came together for the launch of the PSE&G Small Business Certification Readiness Program, kicking off a series designed to help entrepreneurs prepare for certification and access new contracting opportunities.

During Session 1, participants learned about the PSE&G supplier registration process, New Jersey certification requirements, and how certification can open doors to valuable business opportunities.

A heartfelt thank you to Reina Valenzuela and Bianca Reyes for sharing their knowledge, experience, and practical guidance with our attendees.

Today, SHCCNJ joins communities across New Jersey and the nation in commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. We remember those whose lives were taken.

We honor the first responders and all whose courage carried others through unimaginable loss. And we stand with the survivors and families whose lives were forever changed. A quarter century later, their stories remain part of our shared history, and we carry their memory forward with dignity, compassion and unity.

We will never forget.
