Seeking WOODSHOP PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR for PTP’s LYONS location.
Pacific Timber Products is a small business specializing in large, custom wood products with a new facility in Lyons, Oregon. We are seeking a full-time Production Supervisor. Workers perform a variety of tasks requiring accuracy, efficiency, and safe machine and tool operation. Knowledge of power tools and crew management proficiency are a must.
Day shift M-Th 6:00am-4:30pm. Overtime available. Pay DOE. Start immediately.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
• Punctual, reliable attendance, and ability to work 40 hours/week, and overtime when needed.
• A valid driver's license and your own reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a forklift certification.
• Ability to teach and supervise use of all necessary equipment and various power tools, saws, drills.
• Ability to read and implement shop drawings, and to pay close attention to details.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift all day.
• A professional attitude and respect for co-workers and management.
• Adherence to all safety rules and procedures.
• English-Spanish bilingual helpful.
• Drug-free.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Direct supervision of production staff fabricating wood to customer specifications in a safe and productive manner.
• Train, motivate, support, and provide guidance to production staff.
• Ensure all safety and health standards are met to keep PTP accident-free.
• Assign operating equipment and personnel duties to accomplish efficient material flow on a timely and cost-effective basis, while meeting schedules for both internal and external needs.
• Interpret and oversee product specifications, shop drawings, and job orders to workers.
• Evaluate and monitor machine maintenance and supplies to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
• Receive material deliveries; verify and coordinate materials for jobs; monitor inventory.
• Interface with others at PTP to ensure production deadlines are met.
• Coordinate quality-control inspections for compliance to specifications.
• Personally inspect each job order before it is packaged for shipment.
• Oversee job documentation, tagging of finished product, and shipping documents.
• Supervise staff to maintain clean and orderly workshops, storage, and grounds.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production.
• Display a professional attitude and respect for co-workers and management at all times.
