Quick story and a call to action: For the last five years I have never had a social media client I didn’t believe in. If I felt like I could not passionately recommend them to others, I didn’t take the job. It’s impossible to be a fake cheerleader.
The opportunity presented itself last month to champion this school, which I love and have been deeply changed by over my life. I expect the words and ideas will flow easily and I’m so excited. If you don’t love what you are doing, what can you change about it? Can you switch up the tasks? Change your office space? Find a new app or tool to make the hard things a little less hard? Can you find one thing you LOVE about the job and focus on that? Or maybe look for a new job 😬? I hope today you see something about your job that magnifies your passion!

Small business owners- pay professionals for things outside of your wheelhouse! It’s important for your graphics, website and photos to be stellar. I recommend new headshots every two years. In fun places around your city and with a wardrobe change and props too. Also,
bring a friend to make you laugh and hand you lip gloss between pics:) One hour or two and you will have all the images you need for a long time!

Look at the social media feed for your business. What does it reflect? Do the colors, fonts, lingo, tags, and content represent your brand? Did you pick colors you thought were pretty or are they your brand colors? Does your font rep your vibe? What is your online voice compared to your in person one? Make sure these match! Happy Monday! I have learned (the hard way) how to make Monday easier. Waiting till I am fully awake and caffeinated wastes precious time. Programming the coffee pot the night before, setting out stacks of things to tackle in order, charging my computer and phone overnight and making a checklist set me up for success.
