⭐️Andrea Reeder, BSN, RN, brings over two decades of critical care experience to SMG Safety. As a 2004 graduate of Grand Valley State University, Andrea’s career spans the high-stakes environments of Trauma, ICU, Emergency Medicine, and Research. Having witnessed the profound impact of emergency intervention firsthand, she is now dedicated to shifting the focus toward prevention and innovation. Andrea founded SMG Safety to equip community members and businesses with life-saving skills, delivering straightforward, hands-on CPR, AED, and First Aid training designed to build real-world competence and confidence.

We just finished a new Training Program!

We are now available to train your employees on a mini excavator.

The training will be 2 hours classroom and 1 hour evaluation.
If you are renting or leasing a mini excavator for your business and are not an excavation company, this training will comply with MIOSHA for Part 9(excavation standard) and Part 13(mobile equipment).

We are also planning to have the 2026 CAT Next Gen 305- CR (with enclosed heat/AC cab, 4 way blade, hydraulic quick connect and Thumb - 12 & 24 digging, 48 grading bucket and skid steer quick attach adapter) available for work at your jobsite!

He has over 10 years of experience in leadership at a Fortune 100 company, as well as a Construction Industry Certification from NIU, Certifications for Construction Safety & Health Professional, Construction Safety & Health Manager, Construction Site Safety Supervisor, Construction Safety & Health Specialist, Construction Safety & Health Train the Trainer, OSHA 510 from Construction Safety Council, Crosby Train the Trainer for Qualified Rigger & Signal Person, JLG University MEWP & Telehandler Trainer in addition to multiple managerial roles involving PIT trucks and MEWPs.

We’ve been a little quiet with our posts lately because we have been busy working on some new projects. Introducing our NEW onsite training room for smaller classes!!
