On Thursday, June 4, NIAF President & CEO Robert Allegrini was honored with the prestigious “Two Flags, One Heart” award at the We the Italians Gala 2026 in Rome.

The fourth annual We the Italians Gala brought together Italian American leaders and transatlantic partners at the Grand Hotel Parco dei Principi for an evening of celebration, culture, and connection. This year carried special significance as guests honored both the 250th anniversary of the United States and the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic.

President Allegrini joins an esteemed group of 2026 honorees recognized for their commitment to strengthening the bond between Italy and the United States, a mission that sits at the very heart of everything NIAF does.
