BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!! Join me for a webinar to learn all about newborn sleep! 👶

In just a few weeks, I'll be running a webinar on how to set you and your newborn baby up for long-term sleep success! You'll learn so much in this session like...

🔹 What sleep props are and how to avoid them
🔹 How to help baby learn to fall asleep independently with little to no crying
🔹 What age-appropriate schedules for 0-12 week olds look like
🔹 How to encourage full feeds and avoid a baby who "snacks"
🔹 How to implement a solid bedtime routine and why that's important
🔹 How to encourage the natural lengthening of nighttime sleep stretches as baby grows and develops

Newborn babies who are growing and developing well can begin sleeping 11-12 hours straight through the night by 12 weeks! Let me help teach you how it's possible.

*This webinar is great for parents of babies born September-November or due in December of 2022.

Dear Mama: I've been where you've been - anxious about how your newborn's sleep habits will impact your life.

◾️ Maybe you're a first time mama with no idea what newborn sleep is like (and like I was, feel like you have no idea what you're doing).
◾️ Maybe you’re a second or third time mama who wants to FINALLY do it right this time around.
◾️ Maybe you're a fourth time (or more) mama and you know you HAVE TO sleep to keep your sanity with a large household to manage.

👶🏽 I've helped lots of newborn parents get ahead of the game (and have helped my own babies learn healthy sleep habits in the newborn stage). Now I want to help YOU learn how to do this too - so stay tuned - next week I'll be announcing something big for newborn families!

This is a HUGE milestone for me you guys - 100 paying clients!! 🥳

Little did I know 3 years ago that I would have the opportunity to work with 100 families to make sleep a thing in their house again (and I ain't stopping now)! Sleep is one of those things you don't realize how much you miss until you're not getting it anymore.

❔ Someone recently asked me what I love about being a sleep coach and here's what I said:

I love helping parents realize their full potential in life - when you're not sleeping well, every aspect of your life is negatively impacted: relationships at home and with friends and family, work performance, mental health, physical health. When you empower parents with a plan of action to solve their child's sleep issues that is easy to follow, and then support them as they implement it, you help them get their lives back! Now they can be the spouse, parent, coworker, employee, friend, etc. they always wanted to be!

So how did I celebrate? Well, I've been wanting to get one of those backpack purses 🎒 for a little while now and had been eyeing one at Meijer, so I purchased it today while grocery shopping! We also had a movie night at home with our kids, and my husband picked up movie theater popcorn and Slurpees. My kind of celebration!

Take advice and drop a 🙋 below if you're feeling lost, confused, and overwhelmed with all the sleep training advice out there. I can help you get your life back! ♥️

Mama – do your baby’s night wakings have you just SO EXHAUSTED?

This is how Chelsea and Lindsey felt a few weeks ago, but now they’re able to live life to the fullest with babies who fall asleep easily and stay asleep ALL NIGHT!!

I recently surpassed 20+ 5-star Google reviews and I hope you’ll celebrate with me! Reviews are an essential part of any business – they instill confidence in potential customers that you will meet their needs. I know I read reviews for EVERYTHING before making a purchase, so it’s only natural to expect my potential customers are doing the same. I’m proud to have those stories for families to read about who are struggling with sleep. It helps them understand they could be sleeping better soon too!

So thank you to the families who have taken the time to leave a review! If you’ve been impacted positively in any way by either working with me or following some advice I’ve given on here, will you drop a comment below and let me and others know how your life has changed for the better?

Happy Easter! The day started with Benny leading his siblings in reading the resurrection story from his children's Bible.

We searched for lots of eggs and baskets, went to church, ate lots of yummy food, and spent the whole day with family!

Hallelujah, thank you Jesus
I was a prisoner, now I'm not
With your blood you bought my freedom
Hallelujah for the cross

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Click "see more" for my best tips to maintain your little one's sleep while traveling for the holidays. 🎄

🚗 Long car ride? Try to plan your road trip during your child's naptime.

🌙 Room sharing in a hotel room or at a friend/relative's house? Create a partition in the room so your child can't see you or get yourself a to keep their sleeping space dark and limit their ability to see you.

🤬 Try not to deviate from naptimes and bedtimes too much - an overtired child will be cranky, and no one wants a cranky baby!

🧸 Be sure to bring your child's comfort items - lovey, blankey, stuffed animal, etc. - anything that makes them think of their bed at home.

There's so much magic that comes with the holiday season, and I want your family to experience all the feels this year! What better gift to give your family than the gift of sleep heading into 2022?!

DM me or drop a 🙋🏼‍♀️ below if you're ready to make sleep a thing in your house again this holiday season or in 2022!

🤱Newborn mamas: see below ⬇️ for tips to overcoming the “4-month sleep regression.”⁣

Many mamas have heard of the dreaded “4-month sleep regression,” but it’s helpful to understand what’s actually occurring and why your baby may seem to be waking up more often.⁣

When your baby is born, their sleep cycle is made up of only 2️⃣ stages of sleep – a light stage and a deep stage. In that light stage, your baby is active – moving, grunting, groaning, etc. – and many parents mistake this for their baby being awake. In that deep sleep, it’s almost like your baby can’t be bothered…by noise, movement, anything!⁣

Around the 4-month mark, babies gain additional sleep stages and their sleep cycles begin to look more like an adult’s, which includes a couple additional stages of light sleep. This is why you’re either a) hearing your baby more as they transition between sleep cycles or b) your baby is waking up more often and looking for you to help him get back to sleep.⁣

😴 A baby who already has independent sleep skills – falls asleep on his own without a sleep prop/crutch (like rocking or feeding to sleep) – will make this transition MUCH MORE smoothly. A baby who is typically rocked or fed to sleep will be looking for this help to get back to sleep more often as their body is going through this sleep cycle change. So you may find you’re up even MORE often than you were before. Uggghhh!⁣

So what can you do about it?⁣

1️⃣ Make sure his awake windows are appropriate during the day and before bedtime to avoid over and undertiredness.
2️⃣ Prep your baby’s body for sleep by performing the same 20-30 minute sleep routine each night and a short 5-minute one before each nap.⁣
3️⃣ Help your baby learn to fall asleep on his own. He needs to be placed into his crib awake.
4️⃣ Allow him the space and opportunity to fall asleep without your intervention.
5️⃣ Give your baby a few minutes in the middle of the night, or when you think he’s waking up from a nap, to fall back asleep on his own.⁣

Suspect you’re going through the 4-month sleep regression? Send me a DM or drop a 🙋🏼‍♀️ below. I’d love to support you through this transition from newborn to baby!

Do you ❤️ your job? I mean REALLY ❤️ your job? Well I do, and here's why!⁣

Put yourself in this mom's shoes for a few moments:⁣
🔸It was taking a lot of time and effort to get her baby to fall asleep for bedtime and naps ⁣
🔸Her baby was waking multiple times throughout the night and needing help to go back to sleep⁣
🔸Feedings were sporadic during the day because nighttime sleep and naptimes were never consistent, making the daytime routine unpredictable⁣

Through the work I've been privileged to do with this family, mom sent me a text this morning all excited because she got her first full night of sleep since her baby was born❗⁣

Bonnie slept for 11 hours straight - and what's even more awesome is that it's 's birthday! Happy Birthday 🎂🎉 to this mama and what an amazing gift her daughter gave her today and will continue to give her now that she's a great, independent sleeper! ⁣

Breagh and her husband have only been implementing Bonnie's personalized sleep plan for 4 nights and what an incredible change they've seen in her nighttime and daytime sleep already!⁣

🙋🏼‍♀️Can you relate to this mama? I'd love to help you too! Send me a message so we can talk through your baby's sleep challenges and decide if we'd be a good fit to work together. In 4 nights, you could be sending me a text just like Breagh did letting me know you FINALLY slept all night again! 💤

🙋🏼‍♀️ Have you ever wondered why preschool and elementary teachers 🔨 hammer 🔨 a routine into their students?⁣

It's because it makes the day more predictable - and when students know what's expected of them, they feel more secure and prepared to accomplish each task during the school day. The interesting thing is that kids also thrive in the home when there's a routine in place - and the same is true around sleep.⁣

😴 If your child is struggling in the sleep department, start by implementing the same routine at bedtime every night and the same routine before each nap during the day. Bedtime routines should be about 20-30 minutes while nap routines should only be about 5 minutes. The consistent day-in and day-out nap and bedtime routines will soon trigger in your child's brain that sleep is expected of them next. Whatever your child's sleep routines look like, consistency is key! ⁣

Bedtime Routine Example: feeding, bath, lotion, brush teeth, jammies, read a book, sing a song, sound machine on, lay in bed awake, lights off, close door.⁣

Nap Routine Example: diaper change/potty break, into sleep sack, read a book, sing a song, sound machine on, lay in bed awake, lights off, close door.⁣

Struggling with daytime or nighttime sleep, or both? Send me a DM or drop me a 🙋🏼‍♀️ below if you'd like to hear more about how I can help!

⚠️ ATTN MAMAS: The secret to an easier daytime schedule with your little one is below! ⁣

One of the biggest mistakes we make as mamas is not paying attention to age-appropriate awake windows. I know this was a HUGE miss for me with our first baby 9 years ago. But I can now tell you from my own experience after 4 babies and the experiences with all of my clients how important these are!⁣

⏰First, what is an awake window? It's the amount of time that our babies/toddlers can handle being awake before becoming overtired (and we all know what overtired looks like - cranky, crying, whining, screaming, tantrums, etc.). ⁣

Now that you know what it is, keeping an eye on the clock and operating within these awake windows for the first couple years of your child's life will make your daytimes MUCH easier when it comes to naps. You'll know when your child's next nap should be - and it'll be much easier for them to fall asleep if they're not overtired!⁣😴

⬅️ Swipe left to find your child's age-appropriate awake window and let me know in the comments if you were already on track or you need to make some adjustments!

😴ATTENTION ALL EXHAUSTED MAMAS:⁣😴
You don't have to suffer in silence - there is a solution for your child's sleep challenges! Read about Meghan's journey with her daughter below. You don't have to suffer in silence - I'm only a DM away from you getting a full night's sleep again, EVERY night!⁣

"As a first-time mother, I did not know sleep consultants existed. I came across a post in a Facebook group that Nichole posted and I was intrigued. After looking up so many techniques to sleep train, I was confused and uncertain what would be most helpful for our daughter. After our free consultation call, we decided we felt good about our chances for success with Nichole's style and approach. The information and techniques offered were flexible for us, age-appropriate, and provided us with the necessary tools to execute sleep training confidently. I especially liked the extra information provided at the end so that there would be continued long-term success.⁣

My daughter went from waking several times a night to sleeping 11-12 hrs. I went from 3-6 hrs of sleep to 8-10 hrs! I would definitely recommend Nichole for any of your child's sleep concerns. Our next baby is due in a few months and we plan to return to her for our newborn's sleep needs. Thank you so much for helping to make our nights peaceful!" - Meghan S.
