So it has been a while since we last posted on this page. 2025 was quite a year from the start with changes to the federal funding. Most of our work last year was helping nonprofits navigate the funding landscape for the sustainability of their organizations.
This year marks 10 years since I transitioned to a full time consultant with Marshall & Marshall Nonprofit Consulting, and y'all, I'm feeling ALL the emotions! 💙
When I launched this business in 2014, my vision was to help mission-driven organizations secure the funding they need to transform communities.
Right now, as we continue to face uncertainity regarding federal funding, nonprofits need support more than ever. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to help organizations pivot and secure funding from private and corporate foundations, ensuring they can continue their vital work despite the uncertainty.
Some highlights from 10 years as an independent consultant:

✨ 183 successful grants (yes, I counted!)
✨ Secured partners across food security, housing, health equity, and developmental services
✨ From Georgia to New Jersey to California and everywhere in between!
✨ Helping organizations pivot from federal to private/corporate foundations during the current funding challenges
Even with federal funding uncertainty, our nonprofit partners are STILL securing the resources they need because we know how to diversify and adapt. That's what 10 years of service looks like!
But what I'm MOST proud of? The relationships. The late-night deadline pushes. The celebration calls when funding comes through. The communities that are stronger because we all worked together.
Here's to 10 more years of impact and helping nonprofits become and remain sustainable! I'm looking forward to continuing the journey!
