Papagni Winery The Papagni family have extended the grape growing traditions that started in Italy, to central California in 1912 and now to Madera.

Come relive our rich history, our Wine Tasting Room is open every Saturday & Sunday and we can host your wedding or party The Papagni family tradition of growing grapes for wine making reaches further back in time than any family member can recall. Angelo Papagni's father, Demetrio, and his father before him were grape growers who worked in the vineyards of Bari, Italy, near the Adriatic Coast. From fathers to sons, the art of grape growing has been passed down. The first vintages won immediate international recognition among wine enthusiasts. More than 30 gold, silver, and bronze medals for excellence were earned at taste competitions in the United States and Europe.
