Acronyms are a funny thing. Last week, I passed my final oral exam to become a CPCC, or Certified Professional Co-Active Coach. ๐
I added my credentials to all the places credentials go, & I kept thinking about how frequently we use these little abbreviations to create shorthand for robust concepts. IYKYK. ๐ And in this instance, thereโs no way that a four-letter acronym could fully convey the CTI journey Iโve experienced over the last 2 years.
This acronym represents:
๐ช A complex set of abilities that include skillful coaching to evoke conversations that cultivate trust, catalyze self-discovery, enhance insight, & inspire movement into bold action.
๐ A commitment of over 200 hours of training, live supervision & evaluation in real scenarios, reading, homework, & reflection, >100 hours of client experience, coaching by a mentor coach, & demonstrating my skills in a final oral exam.
๐บ A journey of intense personal growth to deepen my empathy & perspective on peopleโs experiences & natural brilliance. I uncovered a confidence & presence that allows me to hold space for people to experience their transformation & growth. I reconnected & renewed my commitment to my capabilities, purpose, & possibility.
๐ Relationships & community with a dazzling international network of coaches & the CTI faculty & staff. This community includes fun & a sense of belonging, & itโs a constellation of the brightest stars.
All my gratitude to this brilliant galaxy of individuals who continuously better their communities & see what is possible.
