🐾 To the community that changed everything for me…

A few years ago, I started this work quietly — fitting end-of-life visits around my in-clinic hours, building something I believed in one family at a time. I never leaned on advertising. I never had to. Word by word, family by family, you built this with me.

Today I'm honored to share that I've taken my last in-clinic shift. Compassionate, unhurried end-of-life care for the families in our area is now my full-time calling.

This work is not easy. Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the hardest moments a family can face — and walking alongside them in that moment is both heartbreaking and deeply sacred. I don't take lightly the trust each family places in me.

Helping families say goodbye with peace, comfort, and dignity is the most meaningful work I've ever done — and I get to do it because of you.

To every person who ever referred a friend, shared a post, or whispered my name to someone who needed it: thank you. You are the reason this is possible. 💙

Out of Office—Kind Of.

I’m currently out of town attending continuing education classes (and soaking up some summer moments with my family, too ☀️). The work of supporting families through end-of-life care never really pauses—even while poolside.

As a one-person practice and a mom, I wear a lot of hats, and I’m grateful to be able to do both. While I’m away, I’ll still be responding to texts and emails as I’m able, though phone calls may be limited during class time or family moments.

If you're in need of support, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’ll do my best to help from afar. My next appointment availability will begin Monday, July 7, 2025, once I return home.

Join Me at Dog Days of Summer!

I'm excited to announce that I'll be sponsoring and attending the "Dog Days of Summer" fundraiser for CARA this Saturday, June 7th, from 10 AM to 3 PM at LeFleur's Bluff State Park!

If you've ever had questions about the pet euthanasia process, particularly how in-home services differ from a vet clinic, this is a great opportunity to get answers. I'll be there to discuss the services I offer and answer any questions you might have about making this difficult time as peaceful as possible for you and your beloved companion.

I'll also have a sampling of the custom keepsakes I create and urn options for cremation services on display. Grieving for your pet is incredibly hard, and I want to help you understand all the steps and options available when the time comes.

We are asking our attendees to please make sure you have your pups on a secure non-retractable lease for the safety of your pup and others!!

Did you know that two out of every three families have pets? Pets have truly become cherished members of the family. However, when it comes to end-of-life decisions for our furry friends, it can be challenging to navigate how much to involve children.

I understand how tough it can be to make the decision to say goodbye. That's why I'm here to offer support and guidance. For families with children, I strive to make the process as comfortable and peaceful as possible for everyone involved.

One way I do this is by involving children in creating a special paw print as a keepsake, like this adorable one made by a young client. By including kids in this process, we can turn a sad event into a loving core memory. It's a way for children to smile amidst the sadness and create something heartfelt to remember their furry friend by.

I also provide personalized support and guidance to help parents decide if their child should be present for the euthanasia appointment. My goal is to ensure a peaceful and compassionate experience for the whole family.

As the end of 2023 comes to a close, I wanted to thank everyone for liking my page and sharing word-of-mouth about my new small business. End of life care is a difficult topic, and I am here to help guide families through the process. I know healing takes time, which is why I always offer to make pet keepsakes in hopes they create a smile when you remember your beloved pet. All appts include both an air-dry clay paw print and a lock of hair (if desired).

Here are a few examples of keepsake items I've made for families. I enjoy crafting as a hobby, so I recently started creating custom digital paw prints too. There are so many cute Pinterest ideas you can do with them! What items do you like? What items would you like to see offered? “When Is It Time?” is one of the most difficult decisions for pet owners to make. I understand how difficult and overwhelming this decision can be. My goal is to make this time as easy as possible by providing compassionate and honest guidance. I am here to help support you through the end-of-life care process, and I strive to make this experience as peaceful as I can for both your family and beloved pet.

I have decided to offer this service in our community so families can grieve and say goodbye privately. This is the time to have a last embrace in your pet’s favorite spot, offer a high value meal that breaks all the rules, include family members (children are welcome), other pets, invite close friends, have a wake, or read a handwritten poem. You get to make the moment personalized for your family. Afterwards, you may elect for a home burial, or I will arrange for cremation and transport your pet for services at the conclusion of the appointment.
