And the winners are...

Precision has contributed $20,000 towards the Career Development Awards in collaboration with the Radiation Research Foundation. The Radiation Research Foundation, known for supporting radiation research investigators, selected the Career Development Awardee winners - Samir Jenkins, Ph.D and Michael Petronek, Ph.D.

🔬 Samir Jenkins is developing a new approach to cancer treatment called spatially fractionated radiation therapy. By combining precision dose delivery with immune checkpoint inhibitors, his project aims to improve the innate immune response to cancer, potentially revolutionizing treatment outcomes.

🧠 Michael Petronek's research is focused on glioblastoma (GBM), a challenging brain malignancy with limited treatment options. His investigation into the role of iron metabolism in GBM progression following ionizing radiation holds promise for developing targeted therapies to combat this aggressive cancer.

We look forward to seeing the progress of these projects and how they contribute to advancing our knowledge and treatment of cancer. Congratulations to Samir Jenkins and Michael Petronek on their well-deserved recognition!

Precision is excited to announce the successful installation of its first SmART+ system in the United Kingdom.

The installation was carried out in partnership with RPS SERVICE LTD, which serves as Precision's distributor in the UK. The SmART+ system was installed in collaboration with King's College London, which is recognized as one of the world's leading research and academic institutions.

Dr. Samantha Terry and the team at the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences will be conducting research on the system. We are excited about their work and anticipate some great publications from their team in the future!
