We recently came across a Godfrey’s Feed advertisement from 1982—and one phrase immediately stood out:

“For a job well done.”

More than 40 years later, those words still feel like a perfect reflection of what Godfrey’s Feed has always been about.

Since 1879, Godfrey’s has been family-owned and built around serving the people who work hard every day to raise livestock, manage farms, and keep ag moving forward. Generations have come and gone, technology has changed, and our feed mill has continued to grow—but our commitment to doing the job right has remained the same.

From the feed we manufacture to the relationships we build with our customers and dealers, we’re proud of the work we’ve been doing for generations.

Summer Intern Spotlight: Lexi Koenig

As we wrap up another summer internship at Godfrey’s Feed, we’re excited to spotlight Lexi Koenig!

One of the skills Lexi gained this summer? Learning to operate a forklift — definitely a useful skill around the feed mill!

Lexi also shared some great advice she picked up along the way. Levi taught her three important lessons: never think you’re more important than you are, always do the jobs no one else wants to do, and learn as much as you can. Holly reminded her of an important one: be flexible!

Her advice to next summer’s interns?
“Embrace wherever you’re placed, even if it’s not desirable. Build relationships with those you’re working with.”

We’re proud of the work Lexi put in this summer and the relationships she built with our team. We appreciate everything she brought to Godfrey’s and wish her the best in what’s ahead!

The past few days have been a great reminder of what makes agriculture so special—the relationships that keep our industry growing. We were honored to host members of our dealer network for lunch events in Valdosta and here in Madison, strengthening the partnerships that help serve farmers and rural communities every day.

We also had the pleasure of welcoming the Georgia FFA State Officer Team today for a feed mill tour. Investing in the next generation of agricultural leaders is something we’re proud to take part in.

Thank you to everyone who spent time with us. We’re grateful to be part of an industry built on hard work, strong relationships, and a bright future.

Our interns have been hard at work putting together Feed Ingredient ID Kits just for your classrooms!

These hands-on kits are a great resource for Animal Science classes, helping students learn to identify common livestock feed ingredients and better understand feed nutrition.
