To us and internationals women’s day!

International Women's Day (March 8th) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of all women.

The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender equality.

IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people.

Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere.

IWD is not country, group or organization specific.

IWD is a movement, powered by the collective efforts of all.

We often hide behind the excuse of "that’s just who I am."

We treat our behavioral flaws as if they are permanent traits, like our height or eye color.

We convince ourselves that we are simply "wired" to be impatient, or that we are "too intense" to be empathetic.

You do not have an incurable genetic disease that prevents you from being a good listener.

You do not have a medical condition that forces you to interrupt people, look at your phone during meetings, or need to be right all the time.

These are behaviors. And behaviors are choices.

Great leadership is about taking responsibility for those choices.

It is realizing that your personality is not a fixed destiny.

As Emerson reminds us, the only limits on who you become are the decisions you make today.

The next time you catch yourself making an excuse for a bad habit, stop. Ask yourself: "Am I actually unable to change, or am I just unwilling to put in the effort?"

Last night, celebrating two intense years of bringing this “unique and united” two-location parish into being, continuing their amazing legacies of serving the dear neighbor on the Near West Side of Cleveland.
Our stellar Collaboration and Implementation Steering Committee came together to celebrate last night, just like they came together two years ago to explore how and to implement this creative uniting. Uniting firmly in progress.
