February is Black History Month, and for the credit union industry, it’s about more than just understanding and recognizing Black history. It’s a time to highlight the systemic barriers that many Black communities have faced in accessing financial services, as well as a moment to celebrate the triumphs and progress that stem from collective efforts.

This month, let’s take intentional steps to learn more about the role credit unions and system partners can play in expanding access to financial education and empowering underserved communities. By reflecting on the past and taking meaningful action today, we can help shape a brighter financial future for everyone.
