Yesterday, from the stage at
Recycled Materials Association (ReMA) 2026, we made it official.
Project 74 is live.
For 55 years, Tungco, INC has been doing what the rest of the industry is now trying to figure out — recovering tungsten from American industrial scrap and keeping it in the American supply chain.
Today that work has a name, a mission, and two world-class partners.
Project 74— the flagship initiative of the Urban Mining Initiative — is an operational Sodium Tungstate production program built in partnership with The Chem-Met Company and Syram, running out of Madisonville, Kentucky.
No mines. No foreign supply chain. No China dependency. American scrap. American supply. American strength.
This is what reshoring actually looks like — not a proposal, not a pilot. A facility. A process. A product. Running now.
