I’ve learned a lot about paint pouring these last few weeks.
1. It’s not even near as easy as it looks
2. It’s a giant {and costly} trial and error experiment
3. Humidity is an enemy
4. Bugs are also not a friend to this art....mainly horse flies....perhaps with the right color combo? My horse flies buzzed around like little air boats and made my beautiful pour into swirls of mud.
5. Elmers glue is the cheapest ticket to some awesome effects that I’ve tried so far. Hey 👋🏻 l ok
6. I’ve fallen in love with pouring. {like I kneeded another hobby}

*I did use a recycled canvas for this project! So if you have some Boring old art you think you’d like to be Spruced up a bit [and wouldnt mind a little doscoun??

Finally! It’s wedding season again! & I sure do love a good wedding👰🏼‍♀️🤍🤵🏻‍♂️....{And hopefully a permanently less of a socially distant season keeps on track to follow🤞🏻} I’ve got a few rentals on the books that I’m super pumped to be a part of! But I’ve still got some room!🗓

I recently signed on to do some commissioned art for an independent living facility! This project has definitely been pushing me outside of my comfort zone and added some new skills with new favorite mediums to my portfolio! Watercolor has a part of my heart now....
all shown are 18x24”
Also, all shown have terrible glares I tried to edit with no luck, & are sold, but if you have any ideas or good tips/advice to share or interest in your own custom piece send me a message!

And her stockings were hung by the chimney with care... but then Amy said, “Hey Katie, I think you need some sweet name tags on there...” So she sat at my table and watched me create. Then she sent me a photo and said “these are great!” So now I’m extending this offer to you!
