Visited my renovation Friday at Olympia Hills GC near San Antonio. Despite a LOT of rain, Verde Sports Construction is making good progress. Nine holes of irrigation installed, tree work complete, tees underway & new Better Billy Bunker bunkers w/ Turf Materials Premier Play sand looking good!

Flagging and painting today as we prepare to start seeding naturalized areas, sprigging TifEagle greens, and sodding zoysia fairways and tees on the first holes at False River! Also, a nice look at the "punch bowl" inspired 10th green. This place is going to be a lot of fun!

False River is a nod to the Golden Age. No template greens, but some template concepts. The 16th is an Alps homage with a blind approach to a giant green hidden behind what might now be the highest point in Pointe Coupee Parish (42' above sea level)! 😂

Our renovation project at Olympia Hills GC near San Antonio is in high gear! Shown here are new bunker edges painted on the 14th hole (note the existing bunkers still front right of the green). Smaller footprint, strategic placement, and lower maintenance inputs! Looking great!

Congrats to Hattiesburg Country Club for once again being named Golfweek's "Best Private Course in Mississippi" against some stout competition! For those who don't know, we have some great golf in the Magnolia State. I'm humbled to be a small part of the special place that is HCC!

A special visitor stopped by during a foggy site visit to Olympia Hills GC near San Antonio. Verde Sports Construction is doing a great job. Can't wait to see the first set of bunkers wrapped with sod and filled with Arkansas Premier sand from Turf Materials! Going to be great for public golf!

Amazing sneak peek at the re-imagined False River Golf & Country Club, which re-opens w/ 18 all new holes this Fall--only 30 min from Baton Rouge. Bunker work has begun on our full course renovation at Olympia Hills GC near San Antonio, Texas. Verde Sports Construction is off and running with bunkers--irrigation and tees won't be far behind. Note the beautiful rock outcroppings surrounding the 10th hole too!
