it’s small business saturday!! that’s still a thing, right?? 😅

first i want to give a heartfelt thank you to all of my wonderful clients!! i know i haven’t been the most active on social media, but i am beyond grateful to those of you who have entrusted me to capture your memories this year!!! it is always an honor to be given the opportunity to photograph life events, from weddings to yearly family photos, and everything in between. i am truly thankful 🤍

✨it’s the most wonderful time of the year ✨

feels cliche to make this post but i am so truly grateful, and feeling extra so as we celebrated thanksgiving this week. counting my blessings big time going into this holiday season. hoping you all had an amazing time soaking up family, friends, and good food!!

and for those of you dealing with grief or other hardships this winter, i see you and i am keeping you in my prayers. 🤍

🎃🍂happy halloween!!🍁👻

i dropped the ball on my annual “guess our costumes” contest this year, which is pretty much on par for how this year has gone 🤪 but if my kids agree to a family costume again next year (🙏🏻), i will definitely bring it back!

anyhow, this year they wanted to do a peter pan theme and i was HERE FOR IT!!!! jake always wins for being the best sport 😂 my kids were totally in their element in their costumes. and my favorite part of my costume was not having to wear my contacts. hahaha.

we had an awesome time trick or treating with our friends! hope you all had a wonderful, not-too-spooky, candy filled evening! until next year… tink, peter, wendy, smee and hook!

we’ve officially been in our new house for two weeks now, and i feel like i’m finally starting to get my feet back under me! of course it’s still going to take a while to get everything unpacked and make the house ours, but it already feels like home 🤍

that said, i think it’s high time for me to give a little shout out to the people who made this move possible!! for real, we would NOT have made it if it weren’t for the incredible people we’re blessed to have in our lives! from our amazing neighbors who let our kids come over constantly while we packed/fixed/cleaned/did all the things, to our wonderful church small group who supported us endlessly and helped us get the uhaul packed, to our families who were there the whole time helping with the kids, with packing, with meals, with whatever was necessary… none of this could have happened without them! and an extra thank you to my parents, who made the drive with us and stayed with me for the first week after jake had to leave! my mom helped deep clean the whole house (the real mvp!!!) and my dad did all sorts of errands and food runs and took the kids on fun outings. i would have been in a world of hurt without them.

looking back at the last two-ish months, i am just so, so grateful for all the help. moving is never simple and definitely not easy… i cannot say thank you enough to you guys for all the help we received!! we love you all. now everyone come visit! 🤍🤍

(and i still don’t have my office unpacked so enjoy this unrelated cake picture from a wedding this summer 😅)

just over here enjoying the calm before the storm… currently in the few days of most-stuff-is-packed but still too early for pack-all-the-last-minute-things. so i’m not feeling super stressed right now, but check back in another couple days and i’m sure it will be a different story. haha.

ALSO, i’ve had a few of my lovely local clients ask, and yes, i do hope to come back once or twice a year offering mini sessions and full sessions like i’ve done in the past!! so while i won’t be offering utah mini sessions this fall, i hope that next fall i will be able to 😘

figured it was time to break my unintentional 7 month hiatus from posting 😅

life has been… unpredictable as of late. and words are escaping me right now so i can’t really think of a way to put this more eloquently, which means i suppose i’ll just come right out and say it. we have some news to share:

✨we’re moving back to texas!✨

i can’t believe it’s really happening! this is a decision that was not made lightly. and it was never part of our plan, but it’s funny how God has a way of showing us that sometimes our plans, even the best intentioned ones, are not always His plans. while it will be hard to leave our hometown once again, we are thrilled to be heading back to the place our family flourished 🤍 and it’s not goodbye forever, we will be back to visit lots!!

so there you have it. please excuse my absence yet again as we spend the next several weeks moving across the country lol. but i hope once we’re a bit settled that i might actually start posting some regular content again!! i make no promises though 😂

the Addams family 🎶👻

happiest of halloweens from our creepy family to yours!!! and in my opinion we nailed the creepy this year… natalie was living the dream acting like wednesday all evening lol. and just look at jackson’s face 😳🫠 except maddy. she always wins for cutest, even when you can’t see her face 😂

this wouldn’t have been my first theme choice honestly, but when the kids picked it and were super excited about it, we rolled with it! (also i might have made a poor decision and purchased the $3 can of black color hair spray instead of buying $30 wigs… we will see if it washes out, wish me luck 😅) (also also we were going to go full send have jake trim his beard to just have a mustache like gomez, but the kids adamantly hated this idea, so we decided to forgo the shave for our kids’ mental health haha.) all in all a super fun night with family and friends and food and of course, candy!!! what more could you ask for?!

somehow halloween is tomorrow?! couldn’t let this year pass without my annual

i know i said it last year but this really might be the last time i convince my kids to do a family theme so i’ve got to take advantage!! super easy to play:

1. first person to guess our theme gets $20 to amazon 🙌🏻 (and if you already know, i’m sorry you’re disqualified, please don’t spoil it! 😘)
2. only one guess per person/handle
3. contest closes when someone gets it right or when i post a picture tomorrow!
