Healthy Bodies are Sexy.
And you don't get Sexy if you aren't eating breakfast....π₯΄ yep, it's true! Sorry loves but there is no way around it. You cannot exercise your way out of a bad diet. The inside matters. Introducing Blood Glucose! Why do we care? For starters, spikes in your glucose increase inflammation in your body, drive cravings, and can make disease symptoms worse. Think acne, depression, 3pm slump..
So have your fats, proteins and fibers in the morning. If you do toasts, potatoes, rice, cereal and fruits do it for taste and don't make it the main category of your food. Think *side dish* and don't eat it on it's own. Eat it with a fat or fiber like veggies, avocados, lentils, butter, olive oil or with something rich in protein like Greek yogurt, tofu, meat, cold cuts, fish, cheese, protein powder, nuts, nut butter, eggs.
Less spikes mean less insulin release in your body, and steadier hunger hormones. This means more available energy in your body to keep you full longer. This reduces cravings and inflammation, keeping acne and that afternoon slump at bay.
But don't take my word for it, research it for yourself! But if you do, consider this your nudge for that summer upgrade *hint hint* f$%&k the diet, eat what you like... just eat smarter and your body/mind will thank you. π
