There is something magical about the ocean.

One of the greatest blessings and benefits of speaking, training, and consulting is the opportunity to travel and see all of God’s beautiful creation.

Here is dinner on Malibu beach, CA last week!
The people and views were both so kind.

There’s something incredibly special about coming full circle. 💛

I had the honor of speaking with the Inola Senior Girls on Sunday, not just as a guest, but as an alum who once sat right where they are now.

We talked about stepping into adulthood with purpose, choosing a positive mindset (even when it’s hard), and remembering that who you become is shaped by the small, daily choices you make. Life won’t always go as planned but your perspective will always be your power.

To these incredible young women: you are Beautiful, you are Seen, Heard, and Valued, and your story is just getting started. Go live it with intention. ✨

Thank you, Inola and the ESA group, for the opportunity to pour back into a place that helped shape me.

Inspiration doesn’t always come from quiet moments or big stages… sometimes it finds you in the middle of an outdoor play area and a busy food court.

The truth is, it’s not about where inspiration shows up, but what you choose to do with it when it does.

This one caught me off guard and had me laughing hard… but also reminded me to stay open to learning everywhere. 😂

Right before I speak, you’ll almost always find me tucked away in a quiet hidey hole or little nook.

It’s in those few moments that I ground myself, coming back to my vision and mission: Life, Light, Love, Leadership, & Legacy, and asking, how will I bring this into the room I’m about to step into?

Truthfully, the nerves are always there. But so is gratitude. Gratitude for the opportunity, the people, and the space I’ve been trusted to hold.

This time, that space was the beautiful Ga***rd Texan and what a gift it was to connect with such incredible individuals. We leaned into the lens of leadership, explored how we see our teams, and talked about how powerful it is to elevate others through intentional celebration.

Because leadership isn’t just what we do… it’s how we show up.

A world that moves fast makes it easy for our minds to stay in constant motion. But reading has a way of inviting us to slow down, reflect, and grow.

I’m not sure about everyone else, but since Spring Break has come and gone, everything seems to be moving at high speed again, both at home and at work. Schedules are full, evenings are short, and the days move quickly. I’ve found that grabbing a book and listening to one on my way to and from work and while driving to kids’ activities allows my brain to quiet down and relax for just a bit. It’s a small rhythm in the day that brings a lot of peace.

One of the things I love most about reading is that it doesn’t really matter what you read, leadership, faith, fiction, history, or just something fun. Reading helps us learn, rest, think differently, and sometimes even reset our perspective.

Books I read in March:
• The Magic of Thinking Big
• I Have Lived a Thousand Lives
• The Prayer Box
• The Nurse’s Secret
And next on my list is Theo of Golden.

📚 What book are you currently reading? Is it one you’d encourage others to pick up?

Things don’t always look the same from every perspective.

My 14-year-old recently wanted to prank his friends with a photo that looked like he was stepping off a cliff. Why? Because he is 14! The reality was there was plenty of rock below him and no chance of falling, but from one angle, the picture told a very different story.

As leaders, we also need to remember to look at situations from different perspectives. Sometimes we need to step away from the day-to-day, find moments of fun, allow a little bit of the unexpected, laugh, and gain a renewed appreciation for the people around us.

It isn’t always easy, but as professionals, choosing a positive perspective can make all the difference in how we lead, work, and support those around us.

I remind my children often: when someone starts acting out or seeking attention in unhealthy ways, it’s usually not random.

At our core, every person wants to be seen, heard, and valued. If we don’t receive that affirmation in healthy ways, we will often search for it in unhealthy ones.
Adults are no different.

At work, when someone behaves in a way that feels “unprofessional,” we’re quick to label it and create a performance plan. But how often do we pause and ask a deeper question:

👀Do they feel seen?
👂Do they feel heard?
🤝Do they feel valued, at work or in their personal lives?

The answers might surprise you.

The next time someone’s behavior feels off, consider that it may be a signal, not of incompetence, but of unmet human need.

Leadership doesn’t always require a corrective action plan.
Sometimes it requires presence.

• Call them by name.
• Look them in the eye.
• Speak a kind word.
• Show them they matter.

Being seen is powerful.

This may not change their behavior; however, it will change your leadership response, and that is a powerful shift.

This week we celebrate International Women’s Day, a day to honor the strength, wisdom, resilience, and beauty found in women everywhere. 💜

To the women leading organizations…
To the women working the night shift while the world sleeps…
To the mothers raising the next generation…
To the professionals building careers and breaking barriers…
To the wives, daughters, sisters, and friends who quietly hold families and communities together…

You matter. Your life holds value. Your voice carries influence.

No matter your age or stage of life, the world is better because you are in it. Your courage, compassion, creativity, and determination leave a legacy that reaches further than you may ever realize.

This is also a reminder of the power of positive thinking and belief. When women encourage one another, lift one another up, and choose hope over doubt, incredible things happen. 🌟

So now, I stand with women everywhere, celebrating your contributions, honoring your journeys, and believing in the impact you continue to make.

And today, I am lifting each of you up in prayer.
Praying for strength where you are weary, clarity where you are uncertain, peace where you are overwhelmed, and confidence to know the incredible value you carry.

May you walk forward knowing you are seen, appreciated, and deeply needed in this world.

Happy International Women’s Day.
Let’s continue to lead with life, light, love, leadership, and legacy. ✨

Hope is a powerful thing.

Hope is to desire, believe, and expect something we may not yet see, but trust will come to pass. I often wonder how people walk through life without it… or how they try to carry it alone without the God of Hope.

God is the Creator, Source, and Giver of hope. Scripture reminds us that He gives and He takes away (Job 1:21), and in both, His glory is revealed. We often grip tightly to our blessings, afraid to lose them, but hope was never meant to be clenched in fear. True hope is steady. It is secure because its Source never changes.

We are told we will face trials (James 1). Yet those very trials produce endurance, character, and spiritual fruit. When our hope is anchored in the Lord, we can endure because we trust He is working for good, even when we cannot yet see it.
Holocaust survivor and psychiatrist Viktor Frankl spoke about choosing hope, choosing to believe our lives hold purpose and meaning even in suffering. As believers, we know that hope is not wishful thinking; it is confident trust in a faithful God.

I don’t “hope” for salvation; I have experienced it. Hope is for what is unseen. I hope in God’s continued work in my life, in the future of my children, in Heaven, and in the promise of a new Heaven and new Earth where sin is no more.

So I’ll ask you, do you have hope?
Hope is found in the Lord. Cry out to Him. He hears you.
