๐ŸŒฑ Continuing the Garden Lesson...

After sharing the story about my friend feeling stuck while working in her garden, another thought came to mind:

When we plant a garden, we don't expect flowers or vegetables overnight. We understand that growth takes time, patience, and consistent care.

Yet when it comes to our own growth, we often expect immediate results.

One lesson from The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth is that growth is a process, not an event. Small actions taken consistently over time create lasting change.

Sometimes progress looks like:
๐ŸŒฑ Taking one small step forward.
๐ŸŒฑ Having one better conversation.
๐ŸŒฑ Learning something new.
๐ŸŒฑ Trying again after a setback.

If you're feeling stuck, don't focus on the giant leap ahead. Focus on the next step.

Growth isn't always visible right away, but that doesn't mean it isn't happening.

Keep planting. Keep growing. Your season will come. ๐ŸŒฟ

What is one small step you can take this week toward your growth?

๐ŸŒฑ Last week, I shared a story about a friend who felt stuck while working in her garden.

As we talked, one thought kept coming back to me:

Growth is rarely as visible as we think it should be.

When we plant a seed, we don't dig it up every day to see if it's growing. We trust the process. We water it. We protect it. We give it time.

The same is true for personal growth.

One of the lessons I appreciate from The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth is that growth doesn't just happen because time passes. Growth happens when we are intentional.

Many of us want change:
๐ŸŒฑ Better relationships
๐ŸŒฑ More confidence
๐ŸŒฑ Stronger leadership
๐ŸŒฑ A greater sense of purpose

But those results are often the product of small daily choices that no one else sees.

Reading a few pages.
Having a difficult conversation.
Learning a new skill.
Taking a walk when we'd rather quit.
Showing up one more time when progress feels slow.

Just like a garden, growth doesn't happen overnight.

The roots develop before the blooms appear.

If you're in a season where you feel stuck, don't overlook the progress happening beneath the surface. The fact that you're learning, reflecting, and taking even small steps forward may be evidence that growth is already happening.

This week, instead of asking, "How far do I still have to go?"

Try asking:

๐Ÿ‘‰ "What is one intentional action I can take today to invest in my growth?"

Small actions, repeated consistently, create extraordinary results over time.

Keep planting. Keep growing. Your season will come. ๐ŸŒฟ

A friend and I were talking recently, and she shared that she had been feeling stuck.

With spring here, she had been getting back into the garden โ€” planting, tending, and preparing for new growth.

Then, while working outside, she slipped and fell.

Thankfully, she didnโ€™t break anything.

And in that moment, something powerful stood out:

Maybe we are not as stuck as we think we are.

Sometimes life knocks us down.
Sometimes we lose our footing.
Sometimes we feel sore, discouraged, embarrassed, or unsure of the next step.

But falling does not mean we are broken.

And if we are not broken, we can still rise.
We can still move.
We can still grow.
We can still begin again.

That thought stayed with me because spring has a way of reminding us that growth often begins beneath the surface before we ever see it bloom.

Feeling stuck does not mean you have failed.
It may simply mean it is time to reassess, reset, and take one small step forward.

So today, if you have been feeling stuck, I hope this encourages you:

You may have fallen.
You may feel shaken.
But you are still capable of growth.

And sometimes the garden is exactly where we are reminded that new things can still grow after a hard season. ๐ŸŒฑ

What is one small step you can take today to begin moving forward again?

Spotlighting Community Leaders Who Inspire Change ๐ŸŒŸ

For a long time, many of us were taught that leadership is about individual achievement, recognition, or being the person in charge.

But the longer I serve, learn, and grow, the more I believe something different:

๐Ÿ’™ Leadership isn't about individual glory.
๐Ÿ’™ Leadership thrives through shared success.
๐Ÿ’™ Leadership is about helping others grow, contribute, and succeed.

Some of the most influential leaders I've known never held a formal leadership title. They were the people who encouraged others, listened well, showed up consistently, and made those around them better.

As a military spouse, veteran, and leadership coach, I've been blessed by leaders who took the time to invest in me during seasons of challenge, transition, and growth. Their impact reminds me that leadership is less about position and more about influence.

This week, I invite you to pause and reflect:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Who is a leader who has made a difference in your life?

Take a few moments to send them a note, make a phone call, or simply let them know the impact they've had on your journey. You never know how much those words may mean.

Thank you to the leaders, mentors, friends, and encouragers who help make our communities stronger every day.
