It’s going to be EXTREMELY hot this week. Please be safe. Drink plenty of water and stay cool if possible.

We don't want to completely lose track of the overnight and early morning flooding threat for portions of Middle Tennessee, but we are going to have to shift gears very soon from storms and rain to heat and humidity. I guess you could literally say "out of the frying pan into the fire," because there is an Extreme Heat Watch in effect from Monday afternoon through Thursday for all of Middle Tennessee except the Cumberland Plateau. It comes with the territory, I suppose. It is Tennessee, and in a few days we'll flip the calendar to July, so it's time to turn on summer full blast.

Although you still can not burn illegal items such as plastic, trash, or any other man made products. You do not have to have a burn permit to have a fire containing sticks and leaves. Until October that is!
