Nearly 30 representatives from North Dakotaโs electric cooperatives joined almost 2,000 advocates from across the country at the NRECA Legislative Conference to champion policies critical to rural communities.
Key discussions focused on strengthening rural infrastructure through USDA Rural Utilities Service loan programs, modernizing FEMA disaster programs, streamlining federal regulatory and permitting processes, enhancing wildfire mitigation and grid resilience, and protecting the affordability and reliability of the electric grid.
While in Washington, the group met with members of North Dakotaโs Congressional Delegation and their staff, along with Trump Administration officials, including North Dakota native John Reiten, Deputy Executive Director of the National Energy Dominance Council, at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building near the White House.
Weโre grateful for the strong participation and productive conversations centered on delivering reliable, affordable electricity and keeping rural communities front and center. Thank you to everyone who helped make this advocacy effort a success.
